Ricky-N.p.p 0
i would start with a springer, open sights, and a good brand name like weirach ect then as ye develop yer skills get a scope and maybe move on to a pcp. best of luck ! Quote Link to post

Agree with Ricky; learn how to shoot a springer (especially in .22) and you've made a great start. Plenty of bargains around on HW95,TX200 or ever Prosports/ Go to a shop/club & try 'em out to see what suits you best. Good luck Quote Link to post
Geoff.C 0
Yes, definately start out with a springer. In fact some people will not use anything else.(They never run out of air). The new Gamo Shadow 1000 came out well in a airgun world test. These are distributed by BSA. The Air Arms TX200 mentioned by spike is a super gun too. The weirauch range are,I think b****y heavy for a beginner.Superb trigger, but a bit unwieldy while learning to use iron sights. Get a copy of airgun world for used guns adverts, and a huge range of new stuff from various dealers. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
HW99 if you want open sights or if not the HW95, the newer ones have a screw on silencer. brilliant guns with the best triggers ever. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
the BSA are ok but the triggers are wank, for the same money as a lightning you can buy a HW95 Quote Link to post
