trippa 0
Morning all, As I am a newbie, please forgive me if the question has already been asked. I am looking at investing in my first air rifle. I kind of understand the differences between caliber e.g. .22 etc, but would like to know what would be a nice starting rifle. I am looking to spend about £150 - £200. As with anything, I do have specifics that I want: - I would like a scope - Easy maintenance of the rifle. Other than that, anything goes. The main reason fro the rifle is that I want to learn how to shoot properly to eventually start hunting. Not like these Hollywood "shoot from the hip" styles. Any suggestions from you would be most welcomed. Thank you in advance. Quote Link to post
shergar 42
If you want a decent spring rifle then I suggest a hw 99 is a good starting point but the hw95 is excellent get in .177 but you need to up your budget a little Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
This is a fine thread mate. I think the gulf in quality between the 150-200 mark and the next level up, already mentioned, being the 95 or 99 is quite large. If you can get yourself a 99 or 95, you would have yourself a fine starter rifle. Good luck with it all. Quote Link to post
