Back out this morning on a bit of ground ive not been on since last year where we had a rdecent day or two.farmer had told me there was myxi about earlier in the year and there wasn't as many about just now.but I had a look anyway.there maybe isn't as much about as there has been in previous years was but there is still plenty to be had. Netted up the first set and had one after about 20secs.moved on up the wood where the dog lifted one and nailed it after a short chase.had a good walk about and left all the big sets that are defo holding more than a few for another day when my mate is there to give me a hand.done two more wee sets and for some reason the rabbits just would not bolt so moved on and left them for another day as I wasn't digging today.decided to do one last biggish set before I called it a day.had one ferret in and had a feeling it was getting the run around so fired in another small Jill.it was great watching the dog cos he could obv hear a lot more than I could.10mins later he grabbed one at the edge of a hole.another 20mins went past and he started digging at one of the holes.i reached all the way into the hole and pulled out a freshly killed rabbit(ferret no where to be seen)waited another 10mins and the second of the Jill's appeared so I put her in the box.obv been scratchin at a rabbit.if I had the collar and locater with me we could've ended up with a few more but I ended the day on 4.no bad I suppose, but not a good day for bolters, few more for the table :)
