Its rare that ive had a problem with a dog and fireworks,my lurcher as a phobia about them and goes into meltdown, ive put a radio in with her and thrown an old terrier in,whom she gets along with,4 bloody nights now.Id bring her indoors but her and the Akita don,t get on,the Akita hates fireworks as well. The annoying thing is she works with a shotgun and never flinches.

I can sympathise, used to have an old terrier that would do loops at the sight of a shotgun would sit in a hide all day with shots being fired over his head and not flinch. First firework of the year and he would be a shivering wreck. Never cured him of it.

My lurcher dog is terrified of fireworks mate, he seems to be getting worse as he gets older? I've got hold of some herbal capsules that seem to be working, "Global herbs relax capsules" and he's just chilled out now, looks a bit stoned  wish i got some sooner, before he chewed the new door would have been good :censored: £15 for 60 capsules, he's about 50lb, and 2 do the job a treat.
