Bigad 136
Went to zero 17hmr in after stripping to adjust trigger and found it was cock on at 70yards but dropped back to 100yards and shots were 1/2 Inch right couple of clicks and bang on went back to 70 they and it was 1/2 inch to left so adjusted again went to 50 and left again which left me think it's the mounts that are out of line. Would you guys agree ? Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Change the mounts around mate and give it a go. Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
Sounds like 'cross-over'. Can be the mounts out of line or not central vertically - same effect as canting the rifle. Easy to get your head round if you draw a diagram. How you fix it is another matter ! Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
This explained it to me it's new mount time I think Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
Don't forget to check the size of the rail. My CZ 527 has a 16mm rail! Quote Link to post
celticrusader 78
And take your mod off and clean it bigad, all the build up of carbon shows through by spread of grouping and the dreaded line on your target as well mate. Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Check your scope as well if the above fails, could be the scope not holding zero. Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
Well got back from gun shop and the bloke pointed out to me that 1 of the 2 mounts had a anti recoil screw wound down but there was no recess for it pushing the mount out and not sitting flush in the dove tails. So scope off screw wound out put back together and zeroed at his range at 109 yards / 100 meters need to check it tomorrow at diffrent ranges hope it had done job as could do with out the expense Quote Link to post
Cedric 132
I hope that fixes it for you, however, I would have thought a raised mount would give elevation problems not lateral cross-over unless it was pushing the mount to one side. Time will tell. 1 Quote Link to post
Bigad 136
When he showed me the fixed side of the mount was tucked under the grove of the dove tail but the side that moves when you tighten it up was clamped higher up the groove slightly twisting the alignment hope it works anyway Quote Link to post
