fireman 11,457
I got some greenies to go i bred myself and some that have been returned to me as the fella i gave them to at the start of the year and had a marrage split up,some are unrung and i will supply a written statement fully signed with breeding history etc saying these birds are captive bred and as i have the parents or grandparents of these birds DNA can be traced back to 100% legaly rung birds. These unrung birds are free as the law states i cannot sell them but the other rung birds will cost a little cash, list of birds. 2 x 2012 rung cinny hens £25 each unrung normal cock ,..free unrung normal cock...free these cocks are either split for lutino, cinny or silver but i can't tell you which one unrung agate/silver hen....free 2014 normal hen... £20 2014 normal cock £15 2014 normal cock..£15 again both split for either silver or cinny but can't tell you which one 2014 unrung agate/silver hen free 2014 normal hen £20 2014 cinny hen £25 2014 normal hen £20 2014 normal hen £20 2014 yellow/cinny cock £25 I don't think the prices are silly but have a bid and see what i say but clean healthy birds and the 2013 hens have bred and reared, one of the unrung cocks is 2013 but all other unrung birds are 2014 bred and again are all totaly legal and can be DNA traced...got that MR arspca man reading this

francolin 449
:thumbs:them seem a fair price mate for whats on offer, I have no experience with the greenies, are they prone to going light without the meds,i have had greenie mules in the past they seemed very hardy, easy to keep right, don't think you will have them long fireman atb.
fireman 11,457
Most of these ,no thinking about it all these birds are med free as it goes and the 2014 ones are 3rd generation drug free birds and apart from the proness to going light the greenfinch is a very easy bird to keep and breed.I have lost some youngsters this year to them going light and i even bought some meds to treat the rest but never did and just gave a couple extra vit/conditioning type powders and drops and roughed it out.All the birds have fully moulted and are fit and healthy, they are aviary bred abd housed so will need some time to cage settle but settle they will i'm sure and again like i say any unrung birds i'll give signed paperwork with and all can be DNA traced to rung parent and grand parent birds
dang 1
hi fireman could not resist i do not very often post on forums the offer of greenies is excellent Quite afew years ago i was succesfully breeding/showing natives & canaries i offered surplus thro local papers had a visit from a gentleman who did not ring true w ith his demeanour he stated he wanted to buy only un rung birds at this i produced stud book to prove breeding of hand reared handtame bully cock whose siblings were suitablly bbc rung At that time bbc produced the necessary paperwork to pass captive bred unrung between fanciers To cut to the chase he left abruptly with a flea in his ear as we say minus any birds iwas more than a little miffed so i trailed him to his van parked discreetly some distance away ??? not theRSPCA but RSPB ATB DANG
fireman 11,457
Nice one Dang for the heads up and like you i have breeding history all written down and again all these birds can be DNA'd to legaly rung birds which i own .I may well be sailing close to the wind with my add but i'm totaly clean as far as dodgy birds go and there'll need a warrent but there'll still not find anything that shouldn't be there in my flights and if he comes knocking without one then i'll play with him a bit to see how he'll like door step bullying eh
