cookie 0
This is the first time i have had a pregnant ferret , she is about 2 weeks away from giving berth and she does not seem to be eating much. I have tryed giving her all different meat's and dry food but she still turns it away. Is this a normal thing to happen as they get close to giving berth ? If i give her bread and milk how much should i give her and how often is it ok for her to eat it ? I would apprecate every bit of help you can give me. Regards Brad Quote Link to post
Ricky-N.p.p 0
I cant beleive people still think that bread and milk is a suibtable meal for ferrets ! feed her on rabbits if you cant get fresh rabbits then chicken ect will be fine but stay clear of dry food and by god SCRAP the bread and milk !!!! as long as you'r jill is drinking plent of water ten i wouldnt worry too much...if she's not drinking water then get her to the vets Quote Link to post

Coneytrappr 30
Steer clear of bread and milk mate. Will do more harm than good. Just keep offering food [real food: Rabbit, mice, chicken, etc] and keep the water up to her. If she stops drinking then as Ricky said it'd be best to visit the vet. How long has she been off her food? Hope you get her sorted out. Quote Link to post
