Come on down next week end Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September to the last Great Big Game Fair of 2014, Ballynahinch Harvest & Country Living Festival, at Montalto Estate, Ballynahinch, where the ambiance is opulent , and all the fun of the fair thrown into the bargain on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

Please Note :

 

The Irish Country Sports & Country Life Magazine All Ireland Champion of Champions Terrier/Lurcher & Whippet Challenges will take place at Montalto on Saturday 27th September .

 

Starting Time : 10.00am.

There will be no racing, and entry to the championships is restricted to any dog that has been a Champion Terrier/Lurcher/or Whippet or Champion Puppy at any show in Ireland qualifies. All entries must be made in advance of the show to :

** Also another Big Big attraction on Saturday will be the Ferrett Showing and will be followed by the Ferrett Racing. ** So bring along your Ferretts and have a hilarious bit of craic, and at the same time have a chance of winning. Cant wait to see this one. Really love the banter and sportsmanship that goes with these ferrets for young and old , but at the same time I am afraid of my life of these wee fellows.

So Come along on both days Saturday and Sunday and enjoy the last Big Great Game Fair of 2014. Something for everyone on both days. Cant wait , getting excited and looking forward to both days and a great weekend ahead at Montalto.

      Hi folks just an update on our show,
      This show is without doubt Irelands largest fundraising dog show, in only four years of bringing this show back to life, we are very proud to have raised £41000 for cancer related charities…
      This year we returned to Daisy lodge cancer fund for children, a local charity that does amazing work for kids and families affected by cancer….  We smashed last years amount of £14000 to reach an outstanding £17000….  
       
      We would like to thank every person who has supported our show, sponsorsed and donated gifts for an amazing raffle..   We had over £1500s worth of prizes for the raffle….  A very special thanks to Margaret Mcstay for advertising, The legend dog racing team of the McGrath Family, Dwtc for ongoing support, And  Burren working dog show team.. Thanks everyone and roll on 2026….   A show not to miss

      ****Great News for Our Dog Show Fraternity  in 2026 Re : 5 Nations/Mick The Miller/MasterMc Grath **** Carlow
      It has been decided by the Mc Grath Lurcher Racing Club and by kind permission of  Mr AJ Titterington of The Great Game Fairs of Ireland, that their Annual Dog Show event in Carlow 2026 will take place over a two day event. 
      *Saturday the 27th June 26 will be Showing only for the 5 Nations and All Ireland Showing.
      *Sunday 28th June will be for Racing Only for the Master Mc Grath / Mick the Miller and All Ireland Racing. 
      Please note, All dogs that have qualified for the 5 Nations/Mick The Miller and Master McGrath in 2025 will again automatically be qualified for 2026 event. If a dog that has won a show is already qualified in 1st or 2nd then the qualifier will go to 3rd place.
      This is just a heads up for now, full details and schedule will be issued at later date.
