Young Dog Catching Well

Recommended Posts

Had my wee whippet at work with me this morning in the golf course like I do every wknd.he's been catchin mixy rabbits all summer but this morning a big healthy rabbit ran across the fairway and he was on it at 100mph and nailed it just as it got to the long grass, picked it up and I could tell he never had a proper grip of it then the silly bugger dropped it so the rabbit had another break for freedom.a couldn't help but laugh when he got it again and this time there was no way he was letting go.was nearly finished my shift and it was pissing down so I was calling him but I thought the wee shite was playing up,had a walk over to the woods where I could see him clearly excited bit with his nose tight to the ground, was starting to get annoyed but he must be on to something, then he was into the brambles where he lifted another fully grown healthy rabbit and nailed that before it even had a chance to get out in the open.absolutley chuffed to bits for him,and cannot wait to properly start my season.had planned to go lamping tonight but just ordered a lamp during the week and it's no here yet so since ive no seem many young about for a while think I'll take a walk with one of the ferrets and the dog tomorrow morning.totally chuffed for the dog,he will chase and try to catch anythin infront of him,but at last he's starting to put them away. Cheers:)
