Rimfireboy! 1,463
Just a steady drive down the hedgerows I had my little .22 carbine. Using reduced velocity .22 longs, I dropped a three quarter grown rabbit and a pigeon within a couple of minutes, both will be going in the pot. These little rounds run at a tad over 30 ft lbs with a 29 grain bullet and are ideal for shortish range shots along the hedgerows. Virtually silent as well. 1 Quote Link to post
slipper 116
Never used them before I suppose it reduces ricocheting are they accurate and how much are they mate Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
They're about the same price as normal subs and accurate enough out to 30ish yards for head shot rabbits. The Remington cbee hollowpoints are better, more accurate and well over 40 ft lbs. I haven't got any of those left though, just using up a few cb caps. Quote Link to post
Cushty mush 95
After using some sub 22 Winchesters Last time I took the cz out I'm kinda reluctant To use it as they was rica shading all over the place One went straight fru a new roller shutter door What I had to replace They was hitting the rabbits and rebounding All over place, I'd dare say it's just as dangerous As a c/f. Maybe just the brand didn't seem as bad before Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Im planning on trying those cci long cb or cci long rifle segmented quiets for ratting on the giant silage pits at this 1 permission. I currently dont have a running air rifle so will have to use the .22 rimfire. These low powered ammo shall be perfect here as their is perfect back stops looking forward to it to be honest I love ratting Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
They are great for rats, I've shot loads down an old privately owned disused railway cutting by just sitting on the opposite bank and shooting them as they come down the bank into the cutting. They are just so quiet and cause no disturbance at all. Quote Link to post

celticrusader 78
Had a short session out Tuesday night and managed a headshot at 150 yards on the only rabbit of the night, dissapointed tbh I had the opportunity for Charlie and the crafty git got luck, also found it very hard using the night vision monocular since all the lights of the town and main road lampposts made it impossible to scour the fields with my nv and resorted to old school lay and wait tactics.
