Gaz_1989 9,539 Posted September 5, 2014 Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 I always just carried on as normal with my old bitch and touch wood there were never any ill effects and she worked the same albeit a little bit more ignorant and head strong than normal. But not unmanageable. My pup hasn't had her first season yet but hopefully we will be able to carry on as normal when she is in season. 1 Quote Link to post

Dog fit and working,You stop because its in season,So then as well as hormone changes you have a complete change in work, routine.Dog thinks summits up mentally and physically. Also read on here how dogs often pull muscles behind at 3-4 weeks,Never had it my self.My thoughts would be this is dogs that have been left in kennel because its been inseason , comes out soft and flaby pulls muscles .
