1 1/2" isn't too bad at 100 yards, especially in the wind. Make sure you can get them all touching at 50 yards and you should be OK.   As an aside - .22 lr is more affected by the wind than .17 hmr'

Start wittling.

If the paper wont fit easily just take the stock off and sand down the barrel reccess until it's clear of the barrel, not much! Don't forget to seal the bare wood against moisture - wood oil or simila

Actually I've heard the opposite from owners of 452 and 455 rifles wabbit bosher, that said I own a 455 and think its a brilliant rifle but then I don't have a problem lugging it round with the heavy thumbhole stock.

We've had a few problems with the 455 , i've never seen a 452 go wrong mate

You cant beat the CZ 452 in 17hmr for the price

i have used a weihrauch 17 hmr WOW ! now there's a Rifle

i have also heard the 455 isnt as good as the 452 but i've yet to try one

 

The Nikko is a Great scope for the money , you will notice the difference in picture quality if you go up to the £300 or over mark But i find for 100yrd wabbit boshing they all do the same job

The gun scope and mod cost me £250 so not too bad for the cash

 

its all you need in a 22 mate
