My old man tried the chuck them in trick with his dog the dogs shit scared to go near water but mine jump straight in while his is standing there on a hot day panting like f**k and he's standing there wondering why also I think it breaks a bit of the bond you have with your dog doing that if its scared of water

Take your dog to the beach on a warm day, wade in slowly and encourage the dog, reassure it everything is ok, then just wade in gradually, until about waist high. I had my dog swimming for the first time in minutes, before that she would only go in to her elbows. Another way is to use a dog that is confident and allow your dog to watch it in water, should do the trick. ?

try a cup of half water half milk then keep reducing the milk till its only water.....
