Hi have been looking to get a running dog,was thinking of a mike brown whippet heard good things about the line but ive been informed hes packed in now.I live in north wales but can travel just want a dog for lamping rabbits mainly,also do a bit of ferreting with it and mooching with the terriers.I'd like something quite racy and quick off the mark with good drive was thinking whippet,whippet x greyhound something along them lines,after a decent pup from working parents.Can anyone point me in the right direction?wouldnt mind something with mike browns blood in,any pups about or planned litters?not going to rush into anything want to take my time find the right dog for me.

Id look no further than the land you walk,do your homework and source a dog that suits the terrain and quarry,The Welsh landscape may not best suit a Whippety.

Cheers mate,always had a soft spot for whippet/greyhound types but saying that wouldnt mind if it had a bit of something else in,and i know what you mean about getting a dog that suits the terrain definitely something to think about.Just seeing what pups are about really.

The lad i go lamping withs bitch is a collie greyhound x bedlington greyhound really obedient dog and works well,quiet like collie types.

As said mate see who's breeding local. I worked dogs in N Wales as a kid and the ground compared to everywhere else I have lived is tough..... Not to mention the weather!! Always did well with something with a dash of collie in and same as the other lads there. Don't know any dog men up there anymore they all seemed to have packed in!! When you looking at getting a pup?

Ye i know mate a lot of the land we work is quiet hilly as well and the weather is bad a lot of the time haha.I'm open to any type of lurcher just wanted something with a bit of pace.I have asked about the area but not seen anything really yet thats why i put this post up to see if theres any decent litters about my area.I wouldnt mind a pup soon really mate but would also be willing to wait for a nice pup if i knew the parents were good workers,i am also willing to travel within reason.

I was asking around the lads in North Wales when I was searching but there was only one litter in Llandudno and they were a bit small for what I was looking for. I travelled to Yorkshire in the end. Something will come up it always does. Where in N Wales are you?

I live in llandudno mate,ive been after one for a long time but couldnt before due to where i was living.A lot of lads are packing in i know as well,ye im sure something will come up if its not local then ill travel for a pup.

There was a guy there called Rick who had a litter but they will have gone now and will be about 5 months old. I'm from Pen but live in Devon now. Was up last week.

ye it is i go lamping with shaun bonzos lad hes my best mate.Was with shaun today we went with the dogs round his new permission.Was chatting to bonzo today about getting a dog.ye small world haha

Was with them last week!! Bonzo got me into it!! Will probably be running the dog with Molly next year. Tell Shaun I said alright will prob bump into you when I get out with them.

bonzo was saying youd been round with a saluki cross pup to me today,twigged who you are now shauns mentioned you to me.ye mate hopefully ill have a dog to run by then as well until then ill be out with molly and the ferrets,ye im sure ill bump into you when we go lamping.
