Daystate Air Ranger Service.

Recommended Posts

Hi, As promised here come the Questions :bye:

Right 2 weeks ago i bought an Air ranger in .177 flavour, but on shooting thru my chrono it had inconsistent power :cray: , so ordered a new probe seal which has helped only to discover its firing 10.22 - 10.38 ft lbs, which to me seems a tad low, So my thinking is send it to John bowkett or xtx to service it and bump up the power to approx 11.5.

So am i on the right lines or do Daystate owners know someone better or is it best left as is :hmm: .

Many thanks in advance Kiwi.

Staffordshire custom rifles is a bit closer to you,,and the owner ( Dave ) used the work for daystate . And comes highly

Recommended from the day state team , he can turn round a fault a lot faster than day state can (belive it or not)

I belive daystate --- 3 weeks

Scr --- 10 days

I would think that your using a heavy pellet , this will bring down the ft lbs , and a lighter one bring it up,

What are you using ?

Dave

8.4 may be 11.2 plus

10 .4 --- 10.8 /"11

Ect

I think you find its the other way round ,heaver gives more FT/LB in PCP

As i have only been testing and zeroing had not given much thought about pellet choice and was using Rws superdome 8.3gns, so tommorow i'm going to nip over rfd's and try get h&n ftt's, jsb exacts and some daystate 4.53, then i'll pump about 50 of each thru just too see if fps rises and group results.

Atleast you have given me an idea to try something else before going service route :victory:
