These any good fellas? Unsure if any members use one. The price seems bang on... The idea is there to pair one with a 97, but wondered what they are actually like in real life use? Are there any other models similar quality/price? It'll mainly be used in the field, rather than on the course.

I have been using a new Varmint 4-16 x 44 on my Ripley. For two years I have put a Panorama 4-12x0 on every rifle I owned (lot's) and vowed not to change. This scope is impressing me a lot especially the side focus. I hit the objective of my Panorama on a wooden pallet during a competition recently and lost zero. That isn't gonna happen on the Varmint with SF. For the price it really is a good scope.

Nice one man... As you may have read though, having held and looked through a Nikon Monarch... Im leaning that way. Probably end up with a Varmint anyway

Probably the best glass I ever looked through was a lightstream scope; certainly on a par with the alphas (count Nikon in that) but the reticle wasn't for me. I will sacrifice a smidgeon of image quality for a ret that I can take to. I picked up my Varmint for £ (a week old).
