shootingmadgeorge 6 Posted June 10, 2014 Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 hi guys found a tick on my ferret today, they are keept in a weld mesh cage and she had a tick on her head, the only meat that i have fed them in the last few weeks is a jackdaw. has anyone else heard of ticks on birds?? its the only way that we can think she may have got it on her from. dogmad riley 1,348 Posted June 12, 2014 Report Share Posted June 12, 2014 I fed mine a crow the other week what the dog caught fed it to the ferrets and 2 days later both ferrets were covered in them there were about 15 on each ferret never seen so many. wicklapaul 2 Posted June 16, 2014 Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 Get some butox 7:5 its for cattle and sheep. Put a few drops on your ferret and that should work. I've never had ticks on my ferrets but it works on dogs pigs cats chickens be it be lice thicks fleas Quote Link to post
