Help With Scope

bought second 97k a month ago with a hawke variant 2.5-10x44 sf got it grouping around bull nicely then today started grouping 25 mm to the left thought strange so tried to adjust scope but used all the adjustment up.recentralized the recital and now shoots about 60mm from bull and won't ajust is possible to mend ?what is a good scope to put on.thanks for any replies.

It sounds like you have a bit of scope drift. Over time, all scopes will start to lose zero. It's just how things are I had that with a scope that I needed to replace.

 

Try switching around the brackets and see if that does anything. If it does, get it zeroed, leave it a while and then have a shooting session on it. See if it's still losing zero.

 

If it's shooting fine, that's what matters really. If the zero has drifted again, it will all depend on how much drift and how quickly it loses zero, as to whether you want to replace it or not.

Simple fix mate in a light room get a small mirror place the front lenze on it now look through as if taking a shot , you will see a shadow of the cross hair now simply ajust the turrets to realign the cross hair that should sort your problem hope this helps

Try the mirror trick the cross hairs will have a shadow you will see them move when you move the turrets to move shadow xh in line with the true xh . I thought the same about the spring but a local gun smith showed me this and when done they were like new
