I've been watching it on and off all week and don't mind admitting I've shed the odd tear with those old guys, Heroes every one of them.

and me tonight when they laid the wreaths..... the wifes uncle missed it by a year he passed away last year his son put his medals into auction something I couldn't of done anyway long story short I bought them...

Was listening to the radio coverage from Normandy on the way back from work, just as I pulled up to get out of the car on the drive the minutes silence started, couldn't get out the car till it and the brass had finished. It's bin a shifty work at work as they go, it put it all into perspective.

Lest we forget.

I'm an ex-squaddie, and along with a number of mates had gone to the D-Day's 60th anniversary to see Pegasus Bridge. However, even after seeing the locations and meeting the veterans first hand, I was still reduced to tears a few times today!


Such a brave and incredible achievement and sacrifice!
