jonah. 775 Posted June 6, 2014 Report Share Posted June 6, 2014 Was listening to the radio coverage from Normandy on the way back from work, just as I pulled up to get out of the car on the drive the minutes silence started, couldn't get out the car till it and the brass had finished. blackandgreen 84 Posted June 6, 2014 Report Share Posted June 6, 2014 I'm an ex-squaddie, and along with a number of mates had gone to the D-Day's 60th anniversary to see Pegasus Bridge. However, even after seeing the locations and meeting the veterans first hand, I was still reduced to tears a few times today! Such a brave and incredible achievement and sacrifice!
