WOW WOW WOW APPLE BLOSSOM TIME IN LURGAN IN THE ORCHARD OF IRELAND.

 

Breandan Colemans Dog Show and Race day

 

*Lurchers Terriers Whippets and heavy dogs showing.

 

*Lurcher Terrier and Whippet showing is a qualifier for the 5 nation final.

*Master mc Grath qualifier for under and over 23" with a money prize for both....

 

*Childrens handling class(free entry)

 

*Any variety Gundog pup and adult Gundog showing.

 

*Digging competition with prizes and which is a qualfier for the all ireland final at Birr Castle

 

*Strong dog weight pull with 2 weight classes.

 

*Lurcher weight pull.

 

*Stalls, Ice cream van,Fast food and Toilets all provided on site.

 

*Money prize for best in show along with sheild and keep sake.

 

*All showing class winners will recieve a trophy rossett and a bag of dog meal.

 

*Dogs getting registered for racing at 11am

 

*Showing starts 12 noon sharpe alot to get through
14

 

All this is happening at The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Oxford Island, Just off the Lurgan Roundabout. You could not miss it. It will be well sign posted. Hope the rain stays away.

      Hi folks just an update on our show,
      This show is without doubt Irelands largest fundraising dog show, in only four years of bringing this show back to life, we are very proud to have raised £41000 for cancer related charities…
      This year we returned to Daisy lodge cancer fund for children, a local charity that does amazing work for kids and families affected by cancer….  We smashed last years amount of £14000 to reach an outstanding £17000….  
       
      We would like to thank every person who has supported our show, sponsorsed and donated gifts for an amazing raffle..   We had over £1500s worth of prizes for the raffle….  A very special thanks to Margaret Mcstay for advertising, The legend dog racing team of the McGrath Family, Dwtc for ongoing support, And  Burren working dog show team.. Thanks everyone and roll on 2026….   A show not to miss

      ****Great News for Our Dog Show Fraternity  in 2026 Re : 5 Nations/Mick The Miller/MasterMc Grath **** Carlow
      It has been decided by the Mc Grath Lurcher Racing Club and by kind permission of  Mr AJ Titterington of The Great Game Fairs of Ireland, that their Annual Dog Show event in Carlow 2026 will take place over a two day event. 
      *Saturday the 27th June 26 will be Showing only for the 5 Nations and All Ireland Showing.
      *Sunday 28th June will be for Racing Only for the Master Mc Grath / Mick the Miller and All Ireland Racing. 
      Please note, All dogs that have qualified for the 5 Nations/Mick The Miller and Master McGrath in 2025 will again automatically be qualified for 2026 event. If a dog that has won a show is already qualified in 1st or 2nd then the qualifier will go to 3rd place.
      This is just a heads up for now, full details and schedule will be issued at later date.
