Tracking Scent

Recommended Posts

I was out with my three yesterday evening, for a mooch and the conditions were cool and damp with a thunder storm about 3 miles away little to no wind, the dogs were running around like nutters there must have been scent everywhere, whereas normally they only track recent scent, has anyone noticed this before, what caused they scent to linger like that.

Damp conditions are always better for holding scent and if we,v had rain through the day and it stops before my last walk with the dog's [dusk] there's scent every were as every thing is on the move as soon as the rain stops, low pressure helps too but dont ask me why.
