Good Value Bsa Ultra?

Eyup folks. Only became a member the other day after looking through forums for a while and finally signing up. I currently use a diana mod 38 in .177 form but shes getting a bit twangy and is in need of a tune up, I keep looking at pcp rifles but im in two minds for the amount I go shooting but a bsa ultra in .22 guise has come up for £350ish with divers bottle and 3x9x50 hawke ir scope, the only down side is its single shot and not had a reg fitted which is probably why its not too expensive. Im a bit out of touch with air rifles at the mo so just wondered if it seems a decent price Considering its a all but full set up?

I would say it is as it has a bottle with it and if you had to buy a bottle a new one would cost eny where from £150 to £170 or more then you would have to get the whip to fit the bottle another £20 or £30 to boot even a second hand one would be around £100 to £150 just make shoor the bottle is in test or it will cost 30 or more to get it tested the price,s i have said depends on the ltr of the bottle mine is a 7ltr one and my grandson has the ultra in 22 single shot and out in the field the shot count is not that bad as you will find that you will not fire that meny off eny way 30 to 40 shots but you will notice it when at the shooting range plinking but if you have the bottle this will not matter there one of the best pcp.s you can get iv said this a dozen times there up there with the best and for a third of the price and will out shoot most of themSo if you take the price of the bottle off then the rifle has cost you little hope this helps atvbmac

is it a single shot or multi shot ?

Is it bolt action or mmc? Reason being the bolt action single shot has a shorter air reservoir and only does 25 shots in 22 ( sweet spot) where as the mmc action does more shots. I fitted a Scorpion SE reservoir to my single shot bolt action and it now does 48 shots (sweet spot) . Hth

Eyup, sorry for not replying sooner, looks like it was a lemon, messaged the guy and started sorting it out then he just wouldnt reply, not to worry, got the diana out the other day and stripped her down and gave it a bit of a clean and lube up and it seems a bit better, not as bad as I remember it. Ordered a cheapy barrel cleaning kit off ebay and ordered some different pellets so see how we go. Always used to use logun penetrators but thought id try a change So ordered some jsb diablo exacts. See how we go
