Moorman 1 1,453 Posted May 11, 2014 Report Share Posted May 11, 2014 Thats a cracking bit of footage.As you know Harris Hawks are very versatile and can be flown in many different ways.We used to slope soar ours a lot on cliffs and around quarries where you get a good updraft for lift and took a lot of rabbits in this manner.Also Martin Hollinshead ferrets with his from a slope soaring position.I should imagine that this is quite awkward to engineer but once the Hawk has had a few kills in this manner they are quick to learn the benefits and would soon switch on.You do need the right sort of country with the updrafts to get them up there though.! 1 Quote Link to post
