Rimfireboy! 1,463
Anybody tried these yet? They're advertised on the back of this weeks Shooting Times. 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Not tried them, but will give them a go if I see any, are they meant to have any special qualities above their normal offering? Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
I think they're supposed to be a bit harder hitting than the 40 grain ones. I saw an Australian article a while back, in that, they did show superior impact compared to the others. I asked my local RFD if he would be stocking any, but at the time he said that he didn't think they'd be available in the UK. Looks like they are now though.Could be interesting? 1 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Ok mate, will look out for them, always worth buying a box to see if the semi auto likes them. 1 Quote Link to post

Alsone 789
This was the best info I could find on these: Side by Side review of 40 vs 42 grain in ballistic gel Edit. Video is slightly misleading in that the Powerpoint Max mentioned at the end as better still is Super Sonic not sub. So looks like 42 Grain Max sub is the best sub. shropshire dan 467
Yeah not a bad review but don't see it being much more effective on fox and hare than a 40g. Your not suddenly going to attempt fox an extra 200yards using 42g. Ill bet at 60yards they both take fox equally as well as each other Quote Link to post
