Roscrea Rugby Club Grounds,

Roscrea,

Co. Tipperary.

 

Lurcher Racing

 

1. Winner takes all under 21" stake (smooth)

2. Winner takes all under 23" stake (smooth)

3. Winner takes all over 23" stake (smooth)

4. Winner takes all under 23" stake (hairy)

5. Winner takes all over 23" stake (hairy)

6 Master McGrath qualifier under 23"

7. Master McGrath qualifier over 23"

 

Registration for racing takes place from 10am to 10.45am

Flapper racing starts at 11am

All dogs racing will be measured upon registration

Stewards decision is final

All dogs racing must wear muzzles

No dog may be entered in two stakes

 

Showing

 

Showing will commence at approx 12.30pm

Lurchers will be divided between dogs and bitches

There will be a divided whippet class

Terriers will be divided between dogs and bitches

 

Judges

 

Hound judge: Paul Collins

Terrier judge: J.P O' Sullivan

Lurcher: Tom Tynan

 

 

Champion terrier, lurcher and hound will receive 5 bags of nuts.

The champion terrier and lurcher will also qualify for the 5 nations championship in Birr Castle.

There was no digging comp but in fairness there would be no where suitable for it because its in the rugby grounds a great spot for a show with proper toilets and a club house some nice dogs on show
