tillylamp 1,969
hi, I have got a hw35 and its a very good gun, but when its fired you get a quite loud twang from the spring, what is the best way to get it quite again, do they make a v mach kit for these air rifles or what the best way to go to get the quietness and maximum performance, any advise would be apprisiated and thanks in advance. tillylamp. moxy 617
In the olden days, i would say put some decent grease on the spring..... Nothing much has changed in modern times. Strip out the spring and get rid of all the old dry gunk and give it a re grease. Failing that. A new spring guide may help along with a piston liner or sleeve This thread by thursdog will give you a good idea as to the spring assembly. Not identical but a good guide. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/290979-restoring-a-rather-negelcted-hw80/ Quote Link to post
