The above show will be at the usual venue of glassdrumman co down BT34 4QW.

There will be full classes for Lurchers,Terriers,Whippets,Hounds,and Strongdogs will be overseen this year by I.W.P

 

I.W.P will be holding the weightpull at the event on rails which is a ratified event to compete for uk and irish titles

 

Racing will be held after the digging as usual in the evening for race dogs lurchers and terriers. ALL DOGS RACING TO BE MUZZLED! no exceptions

 

A qualifier for the All Ireland Digging Championship will be straight after showing.

 

There will be stalls food and a free attended kids bouncy as usual on the day so bring the family for a day out folks

 

A profits this year will go to P.I.P.S in a donation made later this year as i have a few more fundraisers planned for them.And they will be in on the day also.

A very enjoyable day out yesterday at the Mourne show, weather (mostly) held out and the company was great as always. Was fortunate enough to get wins in the show ring and racing, and was over the moon at getting best overall whippet and best overall in show with Bolt, as all the other dogs were very worthy competitors in the final. Credit to Kieran and the Mourne for the prizes on the day as they were fantastic ,im especially chuffed with the hunting lamp I received and three large bags of meal as well as the silverware. To top it all off, my two boys both came back from Scotland with Gold medals fighting For Northern Ireland in the UK regional Taekwondo championships in Scotland. Great weekend for team Vermin Catcher ...only downside with the missus being away with the two wee boys in Scotland was,,i had to make my own dinner on Saturday night! (she has no consideration for me at all) !!! :thumbs::D :D Well done to Kieran, Joanne and the rest of the Mourne posse .

great pictures as always Deidre, I love the one above there with Bolt in the yellow collar you can see im poking around his back end to make him go faster,my secret is out! :icon_redface::D :D

Think he will go fast no matter what you do lol

      Hi folks just an update on our show,
      This show is without doubt Irelands largest fundraising dog show, in only four years of bringing this show back to life, we are very proud to have raised £41000 for cancer related charities…
      This year we returned to Daisy lodge cancer fund for children, a local charity that does amazing work for kids and families affected by cancer….  We smashed last years amount of £14000 to reach an outstanding £17000….  
       
      We would like to thank every person who has supported our show, sponsorsed and donated gifts for an amazing raffle..   We had over £1500s worth of prizes for the raffle….  A very special thanks to Margaret Mcstay for advertising, The legend dog racing team of the McGrath Family, Dwtc for ongoing support, And  Burren working dog show team.. Thanks everyone and roll on 2026….   A show not to miss

      ****Great News for Our Dog Show Fraternity  in 2026 Re : 5 Nations/Mick The Miller/MasterMc Grath **** Carlow
      It has been decided by the Mc Grath Lurcher Racing Club and by kind permission of  Mr AJ Titterington of The Great Game Fairs of Ireland, that their Annual Dog Show event in Carlow 2026 will take place over a two day event. 
      *Saturday the 27th June 26 will be Showing only for the 5 Nations and All Ireland Showing.
      *Sunday 28th June will be for Racing Only for the Master Mc Grath / Mick the Miller and All Ireland Racing. 
      Please note, All dogs that have qualified for the 5 Nations/Mick The Miller and Master McGrath in 2025 will again automatically be qualified for 2026 event. If a dog that has won a show is already qualified in 1st or 2nd then the qualifier will go to 3rd place.
      This is just a heads up for now, full details and schedule will be issued at later date.
