chrismdd 787
After some advice please. After visiting the Bath and West Gamefair yesterday I was very impressed by the pcp air-rifles. Currently I use a FWB Sport 127 .22 and 'borrow' a HWK 97K. Well having a preliminary look at prices for new pcp I think a BSA Ultra .177 would suit my budget. This would mainly be used for controlling rabbits, pigeons and corvids (although less so the rabbits as I prefer to ferret these in the autumn), and target shooting. So my questions are: What are the different variants? Single shot or multi? What to check for / care when 'running in' from new? Accessories to include (Stirrup pump plus?) Would rather not go the divers bottle route? or 'Have you considered this rifle option as an alternative?' And the all important question best deals prices around the country. Any help much appreciated. Chris Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Get the newer se model better shot count and bolt action. Think the mags hold 10 rounds. Very accurate rifles in the right hands. Quote Link to post

villaman 9,982
You will not be disappointed with it ,I have the older version and it will match any top price gun any day . Go for a multi shot with a HW silencer on the end , for what you pay for a pump you may as well get a dive bottle . Have a look on gunstar or guntrader to get a idea on price . Tactical are the cheapest about £430 -£ 480 . You may all so consider in the future to have it regged by XTX air , imo its the best thing to do to a ultra ,have a look at his web site, had mine regged about 3 years ago by XTX AIR and its been spot on ever since and that's shooting it about 4-5 times a week . Now go and buy one Quote Link to post
chrismdd 787
Cheers for the replies folks much appreciated. All this pcp stuff is very new to me having grown up with springers. Villaman you are the next county on from me, can you recommend any good gunshops in the Dorset, Devon or Somerset areas where I could go and get a feel for the gun? Regards Chris Quote Link to post
