Considered the US? Just a thought. But, their guys, out there, use either traditional, wicker baskets. Or else, what amounts to a kitchen, flip top bin (sans top) with straps on.

Can't help thinking how much more comfortable it would be, to have a (suitably home padded?), rigid container on ye back.

I mean, f**k being dug to death by a couple of hundred sharp, pointy, nasty bits of mole traps. What a miserable f**king day! :icon_eek:

I am using an army issue 'day sack', it's like a small version of a bergan with a capacity of 45 liters, with the intent on putting a 45'ish liter rectangular plastic bin in the main compartment (Like Outlaw P said) it's gonna be ridged but it's got plenty of padding on the back and straps.

The said daysack is of the MTP flavour, it's got mollie straps on the outside which can come in handy if you go for this style of pack. As it stands, I have a few of the fast mag ammo pouches on both sides, ideal for me, to carry snips, linesmans pliers ect.

Not sure what gear your going to be carrying but it might be worth looking at, can get them fairly cheep online and most of them are very well made, careful though.

It's new school but with the mollie and some imagination you can keep your gear well organized and easily accessible.

Hope this helps a little,

Venum

Looking for a good quality mole bag { rucksack } to carry my traps, preferably a canvas bag, anyone know of any outlets.

Hi Snakey,...we are field trialing canvas bags,.hopefully suitable for mole trappers,...at this very moment.. :icon_eek:

The bags are nice and comfortable to carry and are simply 'trappers bags' from the USA...

We need to make certain modifications, to fit our UK requirements for mole trappers (as opposed to fur takers),..we need longer pockets sewed in,.for marker sticks, etc...but so far,.the bags are holding up ok.

I do believe the Magnum Trap Company Limited are considering their options....

All the best, Phil.
