Pyrenean Sheepdogs

Recommended Posts

Here is a page about the Pyrenean Sheepdog.

I put this up a few months back. Seriously it appears to be a good dog for a cross in a lurcher.

It seems a good size if crossed for rabbits and has a good coat. I hope it hasnt been ruined by the kennel clubs. It works sheep so it has brains.

Does anyone own one or know of any?

It seems like a better cross for a lurcher than even a beardie or a german shepherd.

What do you all think?

why dont you try contacting the club you put a link to and ask if you could use a stud dog over a greyhound??

You dont know if you dont ask, make sure you explain what you would be hoping to achieve they might say yes!

Failing that where are the pyrnenea's??? you could import a pup? or take a greyhound on holiday when she is due in season and get her mated abroad, i am sure a farmer wouldn't be bothered his sheepdog covering your greyhound :whistling:

Or try the Kennel club themselves, they were very helpfull when i was trying to find a curly coated retriever stud to cover my bitch

They do look like a nice little dog though can imagine them to be exactly the same as a beardie X though
