Another Dog Bite

Recommended Posts

Great temperament for a working dog?Any dog that gives a two year old kid 18 stitches needs a bullet!

A facial injury needs micro surgery. One in a child's skin is more susceptible to scarring. As such, a very small wound needs a lot of small stitches in a very small ŵound. The description in the press sounds terrible, and if it was a kid you knew, you'd be mortified. However collies tend to snap bite and back off. It's a warning. We have collies and bull bred dogs here. It's the collies that get locked away when folk turn up. But non of the dogs are allowed unsupervised around kids. And all visitors get a drill dog etiquette, for want of a better term Edited by trenchfoot

There we go then, Beast. I generally like your posts ~ agree with them or not, they tend to have thought and substance.

But, now, ye see? It's being postulated, by some breast beating, new internet hard baboon on the block, that I'm talking " Shite ".

 Ye think I want to engage with That sort of 'dialogue'?

Like I said; I've said what I had to say.

" There is a happy land where only children live.

You've had your chance and now the doors are closed sir, Mr. Grown up.

Go away sir "

David Bowie. 1970.

Now, I'll go away. Leave the baby baboons to play. I don't care for their worlds, much less their hard typed words, clenched fists and hot little faces :bye:

Oh dear more shite :bye:

It was probably a mere scratch then?Sorry I find dogs biting unexceptable.Good that you take the precautions.

Not a mere scratch. The surgical needs of a paediatric patient dictate more stitches and very small ones a that. (I should know, I've taught enough surgeons)The dog handler was at fault, but the dog was not. Biting is unacceptable, but most bites are due to poor handling decisions. Either of your dog, or allowing people access to yours dogs area.

In this case, the dog handler made a misjudgment, ( we've all made a mistake or two!)
