potpoacher 27
has anyone ever used falconry electronics for telemetry? their cheapest system is at least £50 lower in price than the cheapest Marshall. I know Marshall is the best and all that blah, but for someone who is gonna be tight for cash after building an aviary it may be an only choice. any other (sensible) suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't want my birds safety to suffer, but I do have to watch my budget! potpoacher 1 Quote Link to post
Accip74 7,112
What are you flying mate? First 4 seasons flying a harris I never used it once, & I'd bought a full Marshall kit costing me about £700 at the time.........I've bought a couple of things from FE & they are great to deal with, I think his full system would be well worth a try. 2 Quote Link to post
potpoacher 27
I will hopefully be flying a Harris too. as my mentor said ' choice of telemetry is up to you', so I am thinking that a Harris isn't going to fly 1000 miles away and it shouldn't go AWOL too often (I know I shouldn't count my hawks before they hatch, just going by others experience). it all looks good equipment to me and they sound professional and decent. 1 Quote Link to post

Go for the 'Black Falcon' set up, no quibble guarantee for life and it carries on with a new owner, regardless if they are not the original buyer. They are not outlandish in price and that guarantee is a great piece of mind. Quote Link to post
