had this happen to 2 two of my beagles this season take about two to three weeks to heal. that was steep lad for your vet. i called my vet out at 2 on sunday afternoon and he stitched both dogs and gave antibotics etc and cost me euro. hope he's back in action soon. y.i.s, sionnach

That's nasty! Hell of a bill to, makes me glad I have mine insured. Tuff little buggers though, im sure he will be back at it in no time!

Thanks for comments gonna look for insurance naw for my other two, yea the price was abit steep bit off a shock, but that's all about have dogs can't pay and look after the don't have them simples

Your not at vets for pets or any of the other high street chain vets are you? Sounds like the sort of money they would charge.

When I got my first lurcher I was with vets for pets but I soon changed to a smaller vet surgery. And iv never had to worry about vet bills because I know im not getting ripped off.

Yea he is fine naw back to is normal self got to keep him calm thou so it don't re open
