Daz39 962
Full on legal question guys, WHO has rights of giving permission, the land owner? or the tennant farmer? Naturally I'll talk to both like, but would be good to know who I need to suck up to most! Quote Link to post

Matt 160
The tenant farmer only has the right to give permission to 'take' rabbits and hares unless the full sporting rights are included within the tenancy (Ground Game Act 1881). Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
this will depend on permissions. pig farms, golf course, dairy farms, business parks, industrial estates, horse paddocks,Hotels, football pitches, rugby pitches, plant nurseries. land owner/tenant,land manager, agent, greenkeeper, club secretary,Chairman, general manager, managing director. all have the power to give you permission to carry out vermin control,i had a run in once with a gamekeeper threatening to throw me of the dairy farm,i did pass my air gun to Si, and asked to come try he never did probaly wouldnt of helped. its because his boss had the shooting rights.after a heated argument and a few phone calls later, he left will his tail between his legs and rather as the shooting rights did not include vermin control so just make sure you make it clear, when applying for shooting permission 3 Quote Link to post

Lewis Ste 245
Some land I shoot on is owned by the shooting syndicate but rented to the farmer for sheep and beast grazing. I have the 'vermin' right by any method I chose. I mainly shoot on Sundays when they arnt their and on Saturdays when the pheasant season isn't on Quote Link to post
