Guest Frank
It was a loovely dawn, touch of frost, some mist and ferrets scartching at their box, eager to get out and about. I bought my whippet pup along for some company for the first time today, she did well, still lot to learn, but im pleased so far. I was only out for a couple of hours, as i did not want to bore the pup, want to keep her eager. Took a while to get started, mxy is everywhere this year! The first bunny to hit the net, took the pup by surprise, she got hold of the bunny, then let go when it squeeled , i got it out the net, she then grabed it like a demon . The young ferts are getting better, slowly but surley. the second bunny that bolted, got her interest big time, she was all over it and carried around long after it was dead. Looking good for the future. Frank. Edited September 22, 2007 by Frank Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
The ferret was on to a rabbit in this spot below for a while, my whippet started to dig franticly, think she was trying to tell me something. Quote Link to post

Hob&Jill 258
Nice day out frank I was out today got 3, my beddy got her first fully grown rabbit too Do you not discorage your pups from mouthing the rabbits? Until now I have been stopping her from chewing on them, do you think she will stop once she has seen alot of rabbits? She is about 13 months now... ATB H&J Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Thanks H & J, I dont discorage mine at all, as when they are young, i belive they need all the confidence they can get, to incourage them to chase and catch. At first, they are very keen sometimes too much, but learn to settle down as time goes by. Good luck, Frank. Quote Link to post
