Off To The Vets.

Recommended Posts

Just gone down to my hutches today and my big working hob couldnt close his mouth. I opened his mouth up and theres a solid hard white lump on his tooth. Probably a bit of bone that hes got stuck. Only problem is hes chewed and chewed and its embedded into his gum and cut his tongue and mouth etc. Just hoping my vet can sort him out iv tried to remove it but its stuck solid. Fingers crossed :(

I had this happen to one of my jills a few months back. I found her drooling with tiny bit of blood thought she was on her way out. I got her mouth open and it was a piece of rabbit spine which I managed to pull out and she ran straight back to the rabbit and started eating again

Have you been too the vets yet? Hope hes ok

Well good news and really happy with my vet. Hes a top bloke. I tried my best to get the bone out but I was scared of using too much force or hurting him but the vet took one look and popped it clean out first time. We had a good natter about my lurchers and all the rest of it and he gave me a course of antibiotic for him to prevent infection. And for my trouble he charged me £12.50. Id say thats a result. I reckon a vets for pets would be a minimum 25quid consultation fee plus another 25quid on top for the antibiotics :)
