fox assasin 16
Hi all, I'm going to purchase my first air rifle and I have came between the two choices between a kral devil under lever in a .22 or a BSA meteor .22, I have read reviews on both rifles and both seem pretty good, I'm mainly going to be using the gun for shooting crows, magpies etc... but I don't know which one to choose, as I said this will be my first air rifle so don't know much about them, but any info on these rifles and which one to go for would be great ! What would be the maximum killing range of these rifles ? Any info would be much appretiated ! Cheers atb Quote Link to post
twymanc 135
dont know of the kral devil but shot a few meteours in my time and all have been cracking guns and too be fair the only times ive heard bad things about the bsa rifles was when they moved there factory abroad but then that was quickly rectified love my bsa lightning se 2.2 whats ya budget and have you felt both rifles or shot them? andyfr1968 772
Out of the two, I'd go for the BSA but to be honest you'd be much better with something used than either of them new. Pretty much anything German or Air Arms would be a much better bet for hunting. As for maximum range, that depends on you. It's whatever distance that you can reliably place pretty much all your shot within around an inch group. Weather that's ten yards or sixty. 1 Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
Avoid the Kral at all costs. Cheap nasty rubbish. Quote Link to post

fox assasin 16
Yea I think I'm going to go with the BSA it seems like a better field gun ! Cheers lads Quote Link to post
twymanc 135
my thoughts exactly but im guessing by the two he has selected hes budget is gonna be around 100 - 150 most for a full set up if i was starting out i would probably ahve a look at the stoeger x20 surpressor in that price range and had quite good reviews, apart from diesling a bit which would only need stock removed and a wipe down Quote Link to post
