baw 4,360
With the weight its a wierd thing because not many pros use or dont seem to use high weights they mainly 24 and below, i started with 26 but mainly throughout i was 24g but each to their own.Is the lighter darts so they are thinner and can bunch together better in the trebles? I feel as if I need more power, when I throw harder it effects my aim so slightly heavier me thinks Struggling to reach the board are you peewee..lol Funny how grip can make a difference then Brackenboy.....much like golf when a newbie grips the club the tend to want to hold it like a baseball which technically is wrong. I sort of do that as I've done it all my life and I started golf at a young age. Although I'll never get on the tele I've won a few things. But I agree what seems unnatural can be a benefit if stuck at over time...? aye see, all the grip jibes.... Just f*****g throw it I think my grips all wrong, it's comfortable but using only 2 fingers basically, it leaves a huge gap for error. I'm gonna perceiver with 3 fingers me thinks. You still talking about darts here?? Lol Think this is where I must be going wrong cause I use 2 fingers too. It amazes me when your so close to a board that some darts end up miles away from where you were aiming. I know mate, I had to get one of them tyre looking wall protectors one thing I have learned is always aim the dart up, that auld c**t in the pub told me that

I seem to press down with that finger at the point of release and down she goes lol. Cack handed, do you mean left handed?
CBdogsA1 420
Sorry, cack handed as in golf. Right hand swing, left hand grip. I rest the point in the wee gap between my finger and nail, if you know what I mean.

Plays of about 3/4 and I think he won the championship again this year. He's won it a few times. Horrible to watch but a quality player.

CBdogsA1 420
A good thing to do on your own is finishing. Start with 63 with three darts and work your way up everytime you get what your after ( 63,64,64.......). Good for counting and memory of where to go when you need a certain score, also stops you trying for treble 20 all the time.

Is it best to pick a favourite double and privatize hard on it? I like the double 10. I know they say double 16 is best cos if you hit the 16, the double 8 is just above it so no real change of aim but I'm shite that side of the board lol.
CBdogsA1 420
Another way to look at doubles is with 16's assuming if you miss an hit a single (of the double you are on) you go to 8's then 4's then 2's so therefor you are always on a single dart outshot. Tops, 10's, 5's then you need a 1 or 3 to move onto your next double.
