Prolapsed Vagina

As title says.....9 month old bitch just come into season and the whole lot is hanging out like a red golf ball. Had her to vets who tried to put it back in but couldn't. Now want her to have it put back under sedation and maybe a couple of stitches to hold it. Any lads had an experience of this.......looks like my hopes of having a litter out of her are out of the window now......not happy.

We had 3 bitches (hounds) do it a few seasons ago, all with in 4 months, non were related , never seen it before or since.. In the long run, depending on how bad the prolapse is, is to get it taken out, not ideal I know. It goes with out saying, keeping it clean is vital.

Needed operation and it was all pulled back in from inside..

 

Dog be fine ever since.. Bitch has been spayed before this happened, was a strange one..
