Pcp Or Gas Ram

Recommended Posts

I have gone down the pcp route a few times but always got fed up of pumping them up... I always ended up going back to springers but they do of course have their drawbacks... I recently purchased a MMC multi shot BSA ultra in .22.

Its a nice little gun and so shor. Got a couple of bottles and a pump just in case.

It wasnt till i needed the one bottle filling and the other testing that i realised what a pain pcps can be, even with bottles....

First place in wrexham couldnt test my large bottle as needed brass neck band which he didnt bother with.. Then found another place between telford and Shrewsbury. Checked and they could test my bottle.. Great, got there to have one bottle topped up and other checked only to find bloke who coild fill bottle had gone home early.. come back after weekend.. Great.. no air and a lamping trip arranged that night.. Dreaded pump it was then.. Only issue with pump is with an Ultra you have a low shot count, so would need to take pump with you..

Im wondering if i should sell it and stick to my Feinwerkbau 127, or purchase a Theoben.. Ive had a few in the past and do like them..

Stick or twist... not sure what to do...
