Groverdog 0
Just as Surrey was declared free of Foot & Mouth, another suspected case 30 miles from initial outbreak. Fingers crossed eh. Agri industry does not need this.

Guest SJM
Does this mean there will be another ban on the movement of livestock?
Groverdog 0
We had the message from Defra too to say all claer. From what i understand COBRA are meeting at 5pm guess they will decide on any movement rescrtions then. Cattle prices were on the way up. Autumn sheep sales starting and backlog of animals waiting slaughter. We have the best meat/agricultural industry in the world and its heartbreaking to see it get fecked like this. spade 224
There's loads of farmers/beast stranded at Newark market and DEFRA say it will take 2 days for them to issue special movement licences to get them shifted, thats if they issue them at all.
