Ok mate thanks it will take some getting used to the feel of the catapult like would you start off with a short distance and gradually increase it

Try holding the catty sideways, pulling the pouch back near your nose and using the top fork as your aiming sight. Also, try relaxing your forward wrist as you release.

im by no means a crack shot....

 

but....

 

i just find a point of aim.... and a position where the pouch sits on your cheek....

 

play around with different points of aim... and find what works for you....

Just remember mate lamping pheasants from their roost is illegal, so dont get caught lol

Silhouetting against a cloudy sky is legal though and a lot more effective than shining a lamp round up trees

I know mate, when i do it theres no lamps involved whatsoever cant see how its more effective though i know i wouldnt see half the birds if it wasnt for a lamp (in theory of course)

When it's proper cloudy at night and the sky looks white go for a walk in a wood and have a look what you can see up trees . Obviously when the leaves are off.

Thats what i mean mate, no chance seeing any silhouettes with the leaves still on.
