webster 90
just put my over the chrony got it yesterday its a 1885 gun abd it was running at 13.7 its now in bits but it has raised some questions after the strip down i found a square coil spring .now i have removed a few ox springs from guns over the past few years and this spring doesnt look anything like the shite i have removed . its the edges they seem to be smoothed off and the hole spring looks better finnished , i have read that weihrauch have fitted square sectioned springs in the past and by the look of this spring it looks like it should be in their , another thing is the piston weight the pic shows this the gun cocks soo smooth and the firing cycle is sweet as a nut even at the 13.7flb whats your thoughts on the spring guys Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
The early OX springs were pretty decent quality so it may well be an 80's vintage spring that's still going strong. Ditch the piston weight and run it again. It may be all that it needs. Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
sounds like you've had a good deal at £100 mate! as andy said just leave that big piston weight out then it will probably be under the limit Quote Link to post
