teknystoddy 0
I've a chance to buy an old Parker Hale, Mauser actioned .270w but I've noticed that when the bolt is all the way to the rear, there is a lot of play or movement from side to side and up and down in the bolt. I've no experience of Mauser action rifles and was wondering if this is normal? The bolt cycles smoothly and locks securely though, what are your thoughts please? Toddy Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
That is a trait of PH rifles mate, if it shoots well, and is reasonably priced I would not worry about it,after all its how the bolt locks up that counts, they are generally very accurate rifles, if its really cheap, send it off and have it blueprinted, but it would not worry me. 1 Quote Link to post

Craig83 52
Further to that, I'm looking to buy a new .270 any ideas on a reasonably priced one to shoot maybe ten times or so a year? Cheers T Quote Link to post
