Cleaning out?

Hello lads,

 

Just looking fo a few tips on how to clean the kennels and runs, how often you do them?, what disinfectant you use etc also what bedding and where you get it from.

i use bleach diluted in water every day and once a month i disenfect with virkon disenfectant , and i use shredded paper for bedding dogs and ferrets

clean my runs with jays fluid twice a day change the beds once a week.

somtimes i go 1 week with out cleaning them, if they havn't pissed or shit.

 

to be honest Visa never does anything ever. if however Tara has peed. then its dissinfectant and water. scrubbed with a yard brush. then i have one of those window wipper type thingies that pushes the water out the kennel.

 

the dogs are off the ground in in wodden box with 2 dovets uner them. if its cold i have a heater in there and a heat lamp. TOMO

If your runs need cleaned twice or more times a day then you either need to get your dogs out more or change their diet.

When i had dogs in runs it was thick domestosworks better than any other cleaning agent and better than parvocide for protectong your kennels does what it says on the tin KILLS ALL KNOWN GERMS DEAD plus it bleaches everything so no green mould

Anyone ever thought of what all of those strong disinfectants are doing to thier dogs sence of smell? or how much is being absorbed through the dogs pads?

can destroy the sweat glands (something like that) in the pads if it is not rinsed away properly.

Or so i was told years ago.

I was just thinking the same thing. My dog never shits or pisses in run she's great I change bedding once a week. and jayes fluid every other unless she has pissed or shit. It can't be good for their feet.

rinse the runs out with clean water .......never had a problem with feet....... had parvo last year , then i started using virkon
