Trench Art Shell Cases Id ?

Aye they look like the top part of shells....got loads of this type of thing in the gun battery i go to...could be wrong though :laugh:

 

Be WW1/WW2 era

What are the crests on them Stig?

thanks for that ---handy tool to have --------if I get a fiver each for them its paid for the 2 boxes and I never even spotted them till it got it home so its all good ..
