Outlaw Pete 2,224
Oh and, Bazil? If ye run a length of tying, or thin fencing wire between to points. Then hang that feeder four foot from the ends? No more rats. Brown rat can't jump that far up or across. Nor can it shimmy along a thin, taught wire.

fireman 11,382
That Greenfinch will be moulting his feathers Bazil, just changing into a winter coat as it were and that's why he looks scruffy. To be honest half my birds look the same and that's why there's been no new pics on here but i'll get some tomorrow and show you it's natural at this time of year.

fireman 11,382
To be honest mate if you've looked after racing pigeons then you can sure look after other types of birds and apart from the ringing b*ll*cks most natives are easy enough to keep and breed,a bit of time is needed for them in the breeding season but they pretty much look after themselves most of the time.Same as anything really good quality food and compfy living quaters, clean water and most things will florish as will the birds, but don't put it off for to long as we all end up with lists of "One day" things to do .
