Starting Falconry.

hi im just after some help/advice as im wanting to start falconry, could anyone recomend any books and/or online pages i could read, i dont want to jump into this without doing plenty of research ect, i have been doing some research into it but i would also like to get advise of experienced handlers on here. thanks in advance chris.

Falconry and Hawking by P Glasier, Understanding the Birds of Prey by Nick Fox, Art and Practise by Emma Ford, all good starter books, the first two are the ones I keep going back too, if its harris hawks anything by Martin Hollinshead, he is one fo the rare, falconers that really sees the best in these exceptional birds

Agree with all the above, plus have a look on the modern apprentice, lots of sound info on there, and why not join a local club, a great opportunity to see different birds fly and you will learn loads.

hows your saluki bred mate? I used mine along with a harris hawk for hares

see the right saluki work with hawk or falcon on hare and you wont want another collie again pal love collie x's but sometimes brains not of any use, all gits and gung ho the way forward, heart be the bagfull when it comes mr brown, be it fur or feather chasing or a mixture of both, its gone on for thousands of years so there must be summat to it,
