A Genuine Question About Polecats . . . .

Recommended Posts

Ok. . . so i'm hoping that this won't be 'another E.U poley thread'. . . . . . . . . but that's how it will probably end up. . . I

Malt - If you could let this run until either someone answers the question and we have a civil debate / discussion. . . . or it goes tits up. . . . then you can lock it with pleasure!

My question is simple - for those folk who own what they claim (rightly or wrongly) to be wild polecats or hybrids, and work them, can anyone please tell me how their working style differs to a standard (quality) working ferret, and what advantages this differing style brings to the table on a days ferreting? And how you feel that using wild poley blood has 'improved' your working animals?

I only ask this, as, so far no one has come out and given any kind of intelligent answer as to why they picked an e.u poley over a well bred ferret, when it comes to their intended application?

Cheers all,

Jai.

P.S I've had a wild poley here, a long with mink, feral ferrets and other mustalids. . . . over the years, and have been fascinated by the differences.

I don't want a massive argument, I was just reading the locked thread earlier, and I was honestly wondering if there were folk on here working them?

But thats what you get though Jai, half the feckers doing the arguing only had ferrets 5 minutes and now they're eu polecat experts...........why not start a show us your bull x or hancock thread.....they've all been done to death.
