FUJI 17,729
An alleyway or something similar is ideal, somewhere he can't run wide of you, whatever he likes to carry around is what you want to have him retrieve to start away with then praise then treat...not to much in any one session as pups get bored...don't go anywhere where he can easily be distracted ie park etc...it's not rocket science matey and I'm sure you will come up trumps...good luck. 2 Quote Link to post
paulsmithy83 567
Recall recall and recall once that is installed retrieving comes easy. Use a toy for now or a favourite object it likes. Most pups have one. Play with toy with it, get him to have a tug then get him to let go and say leave and then throw it short distance to begin with i start with a foot or so with young pup .When he has it in his mouth recall him. Very easy way to play with a pup but it being underlined training. As at that age it all must be fun. So dont ever over do any training. you have plenty of time for it to learn. Way I do it any how lol Quote Link to post
